Saliva COVID-19 Antigen Detection Kit(Colloidal Gold) is a non-invasive test that collects saliva in a collection tube with extraction buffer. In this way, two drops of the sample are applied to the test cartridge by the field inspection method. After 10-15 minutes, this will indicate whether someone's saliva sample contains antigens against COVID-19.The test does not have to be performed by trained personnel. It can be used by everyone, including private use.The COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Pen (Saliva) is an in vitro immunoassay. This assay is used for the direct and qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 viral nucleoprotein antigens in saliva samples through visual interpretation of color development. This test is for professional use only.

Assets of saliva antigen test

The first and only saliva-free test specifically for COVID-19 - its sponge-like tip will collect a sufficient volume of sample in 2 minutes, without spitting and avoiding uncomfortable nasal/pharyngeal swabs.All-in-one - no need to waste time setting up workstations and dealing with numerous analytical components. All you need is a pen that you can comfortably use anywhere.Saliva antigen test kit

How to perform a rapid antigen test in saliva

There are different types of rapid antigen tests. This guide describes some basic steps to follow to test the RAT of saliva from your mouth. Before you start, check what the instructions say about your test.Make sure your test has not expired.

1. Do not eat, drink or brush your teeth 30 minutes before the test.

2. Wash your hands.

3. Connect the mouthpiece to the tube.Cough 3 to 5 times, then spit into your mouthpiece.

4. Check your test instructions to see how much saliva you need.

5. Remove the mouthpiece.

6. Pour the liquid provided with the test into the tube and squeeze 10 times.

7. Place the cap on the tube and squeeze 2 to 3 drops at the designated location in the test.

8. Wait 10 to 20 minutes and read the results.

Test Rules

Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were immobilized on the test area of the nitrocellulose membrane.Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies bound to colored particles are immobilized on the binding pad.Add the sample to extraction buffer optimized to release SARS-CoV-2 antigen from the sample.During the test,if the target antigen is present in the saliva sample,it is released into the extraction buffer packaged separately in the kit. Therefore, the extracted antigen will bind to the anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody bound to the colored particles. When the sample migrates along the strip by capillary action and interacts with the reagents on the membrane, the complexes are captured by anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in the test area.Excess colored particles are captured in the inner control zone.A colored band in the test area indicates a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 viral antigen, while the absence of a colored band indicates a negative result.Colored bars in the control area serve as program controls to indicate that the appropriate volume of sample has been added and that membrane wicking is working.

What are the advantages of rapid antigen testing?

Therefore, rapid antigen tests only assess acute infection, not prior infection or response to vaccination.Rapid antigen testing has many advantages over molecular testing. These tests can be deployed outside of hospital labs and are intended to be performed by the public.
